Ramya is also known by her real name Divya Spandana, is a popular actress in Sandalwood and Kollywood films.

Ramya was born in Bangalore, Karnataka 29 November 1982. She studied at St. Hilda's school in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. Then brought her collegiate church of St. Joseph College of Commerce, Bangalore. Ramya participated in stage shows and dance rehearsals from her time in elementary school. With his mother tongue Kannada, she is able to read and write the language.

Ramya entered the film industry with Kannada movie Abhi with Puneet Rajkumar disadvantages. Be your latest hit "Arasu" with Puneet Rajkumar and Meera Jasmine has done well again published in early 2007. Her final release in 2008 was vaaranam Aayiram . And for this Gowtham menon's film, she changed her screen name to her actual name Divya again,. This is because, she believes that this name is her lucky one. She had also dubbed in her own voice for the movie, which became a high critical as well as commercial success.
