Ramya was born in Bangalore, Karnataka 29 November 1982. She studied at St. Hilda's school in Ooty, Tamil Nadu. Then brought her collegiate church of St. Joseph College of Commerce, Bangalore. Ramya participated in stage shows and dance rehearsals from her time in elementary school. With his mother tongue Kannada, she is able to read and write the language.
Ramya entered the film industry with Kannada movie Abhi with Puneet Rajkumar disadvantages.
